Vacant internship position

We are currently looking for spirited, creative minds that are willing to learn and gain knowledge in the area of tourism and architecture for our office in
Vienna. We are engaged to bring the creative potential of contemporary architecture and the highly innovative potential of tourism togehter. This combination leads to a new direction in the regional touristic architecture that will also help to attract more tourists. 

The platou network team is looking for interested individuals for the fields of tourism and organisation.

  • tourism / tourism management / leisure management student
  • business administration with specialization in tourism or similar study programme


  • professional experience in the tourism industry or optional: professional experience in architecture / building trade
  • interpersonal skills
  • excellent communication skills, excellent writing and editing skills in German and English 
  • willingness to work in an interdisciplinary team
  • interest in contemporary architecture
  • Microsoft Office, database programmes, photoshop etc. 

Place of work:
  • Vienna 
  • travelling inside of Austria

Additional Info:
  • starting date: October 2010
  • duration: 6 months
  • compensation upon agreement
  • assistance for diploma thesis possible upon request

Area of responsibility:

Beside general office tasks you will be responsible for the following:

  • Collaboration with platou investigations and studies  
  • Research in the areas of architecture and tourism
  • Go-between network partners and architect's offices
  • Update of the homepage
  • Creation of the newsletter
  • Working and updating our database
  • Collaboration and organisation of different platou-projects (Web 2.0, Consulting etc.)
  • Event Management
  • Correspondence in english and german
