Bibiane Hromas, architect and owner of the architect’s office o.r.t., had the idea to create the platform platou which was founded in the year 2004. In addition to managing platou, Bibiane Hromas gives lectures at the university TU Wien about the topic “architecture in the tourism industry�.
Due to an intense and interdisciplinary collaboration with experts from the tourism industry, economists and marketing experts, but also because of close contacts to companies and decision makers it was possible for the first time to institutionalize a broad and holistic operating association that is focused on tourism architecture.

platou is continuously developing new projects, for example the new consulting team platouconsult, but also widely ranging lectures dealing with the topic tourism architecture. Furthermore, platou now offers guided excursions in Austria on the topic of tourism architecture.
